While I am a filmmaker, my humble beginnings start with a farm in rural Iowa. I love my country roots, but found myself enthralled with movies. I was constantly analyzing films and asking myself, “What makes this film great?” Ultimately, I majored in Video Production and I’ve been filming weddings ever since! In fact, I married my college sweetheart, so I know a thing or two on the importance of getting the wedding day right.
When I’m not wearing my filmmaker hat, I’m a husband to my college sweetheart, father, and dog dad. I truly love wedding videography and view it as a family heirloom – because it is! Your wedding film will outlive all of us. Wouldn’t it be amazing for your great grandkids to watch your wedding day? I’m passionate about wedding videography that encapsulates the emotions of the day.

As a kid, I was involved in all the sports – football, baseball, basketball, track, etc. – but I’ve always loved movies. While I was a linebacker at Grandview University, I found myself drawn to the arts. My favorite part of filming is bringing your story to life. I think we all carry stories with us, waiting to unfold every second of our lives. My job is to elevate those moments into memories, as well as developing a relationship with you — the client!
When I’m not behind a lens or editing videos, my wife and I love to go camping, fishing, or hiking on a regular basis. (We love our miniature dachshund named Winston too.) Wedding videography, however, is something that truly animates me. It would be an honor to tell your story through the art of film.
